Freevertising

Back when we started in 2004, one thing we knew for sure. It had to be different from what we had seen in the past. More energy, more entrepreneurship, less boring and especially less "because that's the way is". But also more togetherness and a lot more socially engaged. We thought it was important to help the world be just a bit more beautiful. Of course, you could just donate a nice chunk of cash to a worthy charity every year. But we think it's better to offer what we do best. That's more effective. And it's nice to know that our creativity is helping others and serves a higher purpose.

You can call it volunteering, we call it Freevertising

You could call it volunteerism. We call it Freevertising. Helping a humanitarian project or an organization with creative work for an extensive period of time. Or even better, solving a specific problem. Together with people who give it their all. Every year, we invest a set percentage of our workhours in freevertising. And these clients get 100% Emotion. All our love, energy and craftmanship. They just don't have to pay for it. And that feels great!

It all started 20 year ago with Mamita Alice, a wonderful organization set up by Frederique Kallen, who wanted to make positive, sustainable changes to the lifestyles of disadvantaged children in Ayacucho, Peru. This is achieved with education, psychosocial support and medical care. We helped Mamita Alice with a new visual identity, photo shoot, website and a donation campaign. It was our first freevertising campaign.

In recent years, we have enjoyed working for free with Gigant Apeldoorn, De Stadsakkers, Humanitas, Stichting Ambulancewens, Arctic Explorer, Villa Joep and Buddy to Buddy.

We can hear you thinking... why these projects and organizations? Because of our colleagues. Everyone at Emotion has the opportunity to propose an organization that's close to their heart or their life. That way, Freevertising comes from all of us, and our work has even deeper meaning.
